Join The Lesbian Visibility Committee of the City of West Hollywood and Christopher Street West as people of all ages gather to celebrate the achievements of the Lesbian community and realize the challenges still to come. The evening begins with a rally with the Dyke March proceeding down Santa Monica Boulevard and returning to the LA PRIDE Festival grounds for a free after-party with refreshments and music.

RitaRita Gonzales is this year’s Etheridge Award winner and she will accept it at the WeHo Dyke March on June 8th. The Etheridge Award is presented to a Lesbian whose community leadership has had a significant impact within and for the Lesbian community.  Melissa Etheridge was the first recipient of the award and agreed to have it named in her honor.  Subsequent recipients were State Senator Sheila Kuehl, Jinx Beers, and Jewel Thais-Williams. Ms. Gonzales has worked extensively in the media spotlighting LGBT issues, and with Stonewall, One Archive, Women on a Roll, and the LA Women's Theater Project.  Most recently she has dedicated herself to health advocacy and chairs the Board of Bienestar.
