Silent Celebration

The spirit of PRIDE has been building in size and importance to the vital role it serves on behalf of legal equality and social acceptance for all members of the human race. Now is the time for the entire LGBT family to rise against persecution, discrimination and oppression.

Join your brothers and sisters for a moment of silence at exactly 12:00 Noon (PDT) on Sunday, June 12, 2011 during the annual LA PRIDE Parade and Live Broadcast.

There is so much we can accomplish through this action of peaceful protest to remember those who are no longer with us, or cannot be here today, to celebrate those that fought for Pride and the freedoms we now enjoy and to think of those who cannot celebrate Pride and remain oppressed. There are people who have sacrificed their lives in service of the Pride Movement and there so much more to be accomplished.

After the moment of silence, make noise!! Let’s whoop, holler, and yell so loud that we are heard all the way to the Capitol, to let the world know that we demand equal rights as guaranteed in our constitution!

Whether you are one of over 400,000 participants along the parade route, one of 2,000,000 home viewers, or anywhere in the world, please spread the word to your friends, neighbors and families to partake in this special moment when all are invited to gather in support for a relentless and united spirit for the betterment of all human conditions.
