For over 40 years, Christopher Street West has managed to bring the much-anticipated event to the streets of West Hollywood while drawing hundreds of thousands of attendees year after year. Last year, over 400,000 people flooded the streets of West Hollywood during Pride Weekend and have participated in events leading up to the weekend’s anchor moment: the infamous parades down Santa Monica Boulevard. For days leading up to the festival, dinners with Los Angeles city officials and parties honoring notable LGBT personalities are scheduled throughout various venues in Los Angeles. Celebrity supporters in the past have included TV personalities Kelly Osbourne and Chelsea Handler, comedian Kathy Griffin, Bravo’s Andy Cohen and NeNe Leakes, actress Molly Ringwald, rapper Lil’ Kim, and singers Kelly Rowland and Kelis.
